Waldorf education focuses on holistic development, nurturing a child’s intellectual, emotional, and practical skills. It emphasizes creativity, imagination, and experiential learning while aligning with developmental stages.
We follow the IGCSE curriculum, accredited by Cambridge Assessment (London Board), integrated with Waldorf educational principles to provide a well-rounded, creative, and academically rigorous experience.
We accept children as young as 1 year for our Playgroup Program. The Kindergarten program begins at age 3, and the Primary Program starts from Grade 1.
In the early years, assessment is observation-based, focusing on the child’s developmental progress, creativity, and social interaction. As they grow, students are assessed through projects, practical work, and formal assessments aligned with the IGCSE standards.
In the early years, we limit the use of technology to encourage hands-on, real-world learning. Technology is gradually introduced in the upper grades to enhance learning while maintaining a balanced approach.
OHAA offers a wide range of extracurricular activities, including arts, crafts, music, sports, and nature-based learning. We also focus on specialty subjects such as yoga, handcrafts, and seasonal celebrations.
Nature-based learning is central to our approach. Children engage in outdoor activities like gardening, nature walks, and environmental projects that foster a deep connection to the natural world.
We encourage parent involvement through regular meetings, workshops, and community-building events. Parents are an integral part of the school community, and their participation helps support the child’s overall growth.
The school operates Monday through Friday, with varying hours for different programs. Specific schedules for Playgroup, Kindergarten, and Primary are shared with parents upon enrollment.
You can inquire about the admissions process by contacting the school. The process involves submitting an application form, school tour, document submission, and a child-teacher interaction. Full details are available in our Admissions section.
